Welcome to the tranquility, the quietness and the simple country life.

We offer various activities: pilgrimage –  by foot and on horseback, bibliodrama, horse logging and various musical experiences.

Simple housing can be arranged.

The farm is beautifully situated close to the Pengsjö lake, surrounded by fields and woodlands. Why not go for an evening swim in the lake? The farm has sheep grazing on the fields, with their lambs.

We are flexible and adaptive to your requirements.  Flexibility is our speciality.

Activities

Pilgrimage
Experience nature and see the diversity, hear the sound of the wind in the leaves and rustling underfoot. Feel nature’s scents that give you rest and recovery during your pilgrimage. We offer tours where we are inspired by the seven pilgrim’s words: freedom, simplicity, silence, freedom of care, slowness, spirituality and sharing.

The words give the opportunity for reflection and new perspectives in life and everyday life. Join us on a not so ordinary hike that is both an outer and an inner journey.

Pilgrim Ride

We ride and walk through the northern forest landscape on North Swedish horses, in a collaboration with Håknäs Hästbruk (Håknäs Horse Mill). The horses are fellow wanderers and contribute their personalities and calm in a pilgrims’ ride.

Two people share a horse and are responsible for managing it together during a pilgrimage ride and take turns to ride. The horses are safe and provide good riding for both the experienced and the more inexperienced rider.

We travel mainly in the walk, but also in some trot, and take pauses for food and gatherings during the day. We spend the night in basic accommodation or in a tepee. For those who want a sauna and the opportunity for a dip in the Pengsjö lake.

We offer a Pilgrim Ride, inspired by the seven Pilgrim´s words: freedom, simplicity, silence, freedom of care, slowness, spirituality and sharing.

A pilgrim ride is two days. Starting at 10am day 1 and ending at 4pm day 2.

Bibliodrama

Bibliodrama is a way to discover, explore and experience a Bible text –  an encounter with the text that affects you profoundly. In creative exercises, simple role playing, writing and in reflection the text speaks to us in a deeper meaning.

Bibliodrama is a creative Bible experience that involves our whole body: sentiment, thought, soul, intellect and our senses.

Anna Gradin is a bibliodrama director holding a diploma.

Date: 8 July in Husbondliden (20 km outside Lycksele) 10am to 12am.

Horse driving in the forest
Here you learn how to drive a horse in the forest. You will also learn how to adjust a harness, how to securely hitch a horse to various tools and which suitable driving tools that are available. You will practice driving with reins and the basics of driving a horse in the forest. We will take down logs from the forest to the farm.
This course is given in co-operation with Håknäs Hästbruk that has safe North Swedish working horses. The purpose is to give you knowledge of and an insight into how to use the horse in forestry to transport timber in an environmentally friendly way.
The course is intended for you who has some experience from horse managing.

Farm music
A somewhat different musical experience between the forest and the lake. Our farm music is a mixture of  styles, from the acoustically simple to larger music bands. Come and listen to skilled musicians in an unpretentious environment  of the picturesque countryside.

Our farm music happens spontaneously – with a short notice during summer season.
